Haiti - PetroCaribe : President of the Senate wrote to Martelly
As part of the legislative investigation into the management of the PetroCaribe funds, launched in March 2016 by the Senatorial Commission "Ethics and Anti-corruption" chaired by Senator Youri Latortue, President of the Upper House Ronald Larèche wrote to the former President Martelly to request certain information, he thinks useful to the progress of this investigation.

"[...] To this end, the Senate reiterated the request of the Commission that is to know whether you received any sum of Dominican companies Adom, Rofi and affiliates or shareholders of these companies.

The Senate remind you that elements being found in a series of accounting documents at its disposal proved to be legitimate, prompting to ask you our version of facts, because your name is mentioned on the latter.

The Senate investigation being of public order under Article 118 of the Constitution, you will understand that your reaction is not only useful, but pressing [...]"
