Registering of representatives too slow

Concerning the registration of representatives, Nicole Siméon the Spokesperson of the Electoral Council, recalled Tuesday that the CEP, would take all measures to prevent disorder in the deployment of representatives, whose the online registration began July 19 and ends on 23 August. Due to the slow progress in the registration of representatives of political parties, the Spokeswoman appealed against them and to the candidate, to accelerate the pace. An advertisement explaining the role and responsibility of representatives will soon be broadcast.

Community observers

Voters who can vote

The CEP confirms that all voters holders of a National Identification Card (CIN) before 12 July 2016, are entitled to vote in elections of October 9, 2016 and January 8, 2017.

Progress of processes in percentage

According to the Spokesperson of the CEP in terms of progress of the CEP's activities, the situation is the following : senatorial elections (80%); evaluation of the Voting Centres (80%); complementary legislative elections (60%); sensitive and non-sensitive materials (50%); electoral list (50%); awareness campaign (50%); temporary staff recruitment (37%); reform of the Vote Tabulation Centre (10%) and registration of representatives (3%).
