This Friday, the Group "ECHO Haiti" will proceed in the official launch of the 2nd edition of the International Youth Forum in Haiti "Elan Haiti 2016" (EH-2016), to be held from August 13 to 16 at the Hotel Karibe.

This forum (every two years)aims to uncover the best potential of young people aware of the issue of Haiti, and wants to be a new experience of Haitian youth with the public and private sectors and development partners.

EH2016 includes a series of lectures, visits, workshops and roundtables devoted to a profound reflection, sincere, carrier, engaged, inclusive on Haiti among young students, active leaders and / or Haitian and international entrepreneurs selected competitively in order to promote horizontal exchanges on major national issues, while encouraging concrete actions in favor of the positive development of Haiti.

This international forum aims to reveal the unification potential of youth through networking and the creation of short-term concrete action projects (1 year) to be implemented in Haiti by the participants of the forum to solve the problems identified after the event with the support of the Directorate of Support to Youth Initiatives (DSIJ) of Group ECHO Haiti.

The lines of work covered during these 2 days will be: agriculture, climate change, employment and technology. The thematic round tables for this edition will be: Agribusiness: towards a socio-economic transition in Haiti; Youth at the heart of global governance in Haiti; Improving access and quality of employment in Haiti and Contribution of ICT development in economic activities in Haiti. Not to mention the creation of a permanent network of young leaders mobilized for change in Haiti.

Elan Haiti will host from August 13 to 16, 100 students, active leaders and / or Haitian and foreign entrepreneurs (living in Haiti or abroad) aged between 18 and 30 who have demonstrated a commitment to act for the development of Haiti and are carrier of project ideas for the development of Haiti.
