Saturday, as part of binational cooperation program with the support of funds from the European Union and CaribbeanExport a meeting was held in the office of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Haiti (CCIH), including with Carline Joseph, President of the CCIH and Claudio Fernandez, President of the Dominican Federation of chambers of Commerce (Fedocámaras) in the presence among others of Kim Sassine, Executive Director of CHIC, Carlos Espinal, Executive Director of Fedocámaras, Scipio Oliveira , representative of Caribbean Export and members of Dispute Resolution Centers of both countries.

At this meeting the CHIC and Fedocámaras sought in particular to create a mechanism to resolve conflicts that may arise between entrepreneurs of both countries. The two organizations had also as objective to strengthen trust between the two private sectors to promote more trade and boost investment between the two countries.

The meeting also allowed to give the final touch to a forum between the private sectors of both countries to be held in the Dominican Republic on 10 and 11 October, in which of interveners like among others, Fritz Jean and Fernando Capellan, will address the theme "How to increase trade between Haiti and the Dominican Republic".
