Haiti - Rio 2016 : Aniya Necol Louissaint almost won against the World Champion (UPDATE-1)
This Friday, the young Aniya Necol Louissaint (red) 17 years old, 1.76m for 59kg, participated in the 8th finals of the competition Taekwondo -67 kg women at Carioca Arena 3, she has faced in her first fight the French Haby Niaré (blue), aged 23, 1.76m for 66kg.

The combat took place in 3 rounds of two minutes, Haby Niaré was declared the winner by points 5-4, for the haitian 4 points gained by attack, 0 points earned by sanctions, while for the French 5 points gained by attack, 0 points earned by sanctions.

To move to the quarterfinals Aniya Necol Louissaint had won against the French Haby Niaré.

Recall that the French Haby Niaré was world champion in 2013 in less than 67 kg, which did not allow great opportunity for our young athlete, but the combat was of good level.

For informations "The way of the feet and hands" is the meaning of the Korean word taekwondo, a martial art included in the Olympic Games since Sydney 2000. At the Rio 2016 Games, there are four weight classes for men and women.

If she wins this combat she will still have to win two others, including one against Farida Azizova (loser 1/2 finals) from Azerbaijan, to obtain the bronze medal. She is the last medal hope for the Haitian delegation in Rio.
