The Prime Minister, Enex Jean-Charles, is about to launch the « Excellence scholarships » Program of the Primature for the laureates coming from official examinations of the Baccalaureate.

This program aims to promote academic and academic excellence among young people and aims to offer the brightest students the opportunity to access to the University at the expense of the Haitian State.

The three national laureates and the 10 departmental laureates, admitted in a Haitian private university, will each receive a subsidy that may cover the entire annual tuition. They will also receive a monthly amount of subsistence equivalent to the minimum wage in force in the Haitian government. These amounts will be paid on a BNC debit card that will be fed regularly by the Primature.

The laureate wishing pursue its university studies abroad will receive from Primature a fixed premium in US dollars or its equivalent in gourdes on presentation of evidence of registration and admission in a foreign university.

In addition to annual tuition and living expensesthroughout the duration of university studies of first level, the laureates will also receive from the Ministry of National Education, a kit of teaching and learning materials including a laptop computer, a USB stick with an Internet annual subscription and dictionaries.
