Sunday, the Office of the Secretary of State for the Integration of Disabled Persons (BSEIPH) requested the disabled, to the approach of Hurricane Matthew on Haiti https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-18797-haiti-flash-matthew-the-situation-this-morning.html to be vigilant, to observe the safety instructions of the Civil Protection and to the population in general to exercise solidarity vis-à-vis persons with special needs.

The Office points out that in emergency situations, everyone has for reflex to shelter and often forget the other in situation of great vulnerability and recall "In the current context, it is important at the level of relevant State structures, all measuresimplemented, consider and prioritize vulnerable groups especially people with disabilities."

The BSEIPH, appealed to the population, so it shows more attentive to people in difficulty to speak or move and give them priority.

Meanwhile, the various Departmental Units of the BSEIPH

intervene at regional civil protection committees to ensure that preventive measures and responses to potential damages are adapted for people with disabilities.
