Haiti - FLASH : Haitian Red Cross is appealing for donations
The National Society of the Haitian Red Cross (HRC) and partners continue to deploy throughout the country and especially in the most affected areas for evaluation on the ground after the passage of Hurricane Matthew.

Currently, the partners of the International Movement of Red Cross and Red Crescent are preparing to support humanitarian actions, following the damage caused by Matthew, taking into account the fundamental principles and values cultivated by the movement, including the respect of human dignity and strengthening of the capacity of beneficiaries to recover.

The Red Cross is appealing to the solidarity of all and invites interested parties to make their donations, monetary or kind :

Donations in kind (water, sanitary products, construction materials, etc.) can be deposited in the regional offices of the Haitian Red Cross for a coordinated and effective distribution.

Red boxes will also be placed in supermarkets of teh place.

The Red Cross recommends to the population to continue to follow the safety instructions of the authorities and urges them to scrupulously observe the rules of hygiene to prevent the resurgence of vector-borne diseases and outbreaks.
