Haiti - Petit-Goâve : 54 schools and 122 churches damaged or destroyed 16/10/2016 10:26:15 Deputy Mayor of Petit-Goâve Delor Desgranges communicates a new partial assessment of infrastructure damage caused by the passage on Haiti, of the powerful Category 4 hurricane, Matthew. According to this still provisional assessment, 54 schools and 122 churches have been damaged or destroyed in the communal sections of Petit-Goâve. 34 churches destroyed (Catholic and Protestant), breakdown by communal section : Downtown (1 church), 1st section (3), 6th section (2), 7th section (12), 8th section (2), 9th section (6) and 11th section (8) 88 churches damaged (Catholic and Protestant), breakdown by communal section : 1st section (1 church), 2nd section (3), 3rd section (2), 4th section (10), 5th section (6), 6th section (6), 7th section (27), 8th section (8), 9th section (6), 10th section (1), 12th section (11), 11th section (3) and Downtown (2). 54 schools damaged, breakdown by Communal Section (provisional report) : 5th section (7 schools ), 8th section (8), 7th section (11), 11th section (4 provisional), 12th section (8), 4th section (5), Trouchouchou (3), 2nd section (1), 10th section of Palmes (4), Fort-Liberté (1) and 9th section des Palmes (2) HL/ HaitiLibre / Guyto Mathieu (Correspondant Petit-Goâve)
