30% of the next election under the tent

Wednesday, during a conference of evaluation of the electoral infrastructure, thee Provisional Electoral Council (CEP) announced that 70% of the voting centers are in good shape 1,363 voting centers have been visited on the existing 1,534. As an alternative to replace 30% of Centres unusable, the CEP plans to use tents.

In Grand'anse, out of Voting centres visited and checked, 38 were damaged and unusable, or 86%, in the South this figure rises to 71%.

Meeting of the Task Force migration

Commission of control of post-Matthew expenses

The Lower House has set up a Commission of 13 members, responsible for monitoring the actions of the Government after the passage of Matthew on Haiti.

The Deputy Garry Bodeau, member of the Commission calls on institutions like the Court of Auditors and the National Commission for Public Procurement, to assume their responsibilities in order to control spending of the Executive related to Hurricane.

ANH wants to help those who have lost documents

Wilfrid Bertrand the Director General of the National Archives of Haiti (ANH) announced his intention to place a complaints office in several transfer houses for victims of Hurricane Matthew of the departments of South, of Grande'Anse and Nippes to help them get back the lost identification documents.

The Great South takes its destiny in hand

Tuesday at Camp Perrin, with the support of UN Environment, the Interministerial Committee for Territorial Planning (CIAT) met with local and international stakeholders for organizing the extraordinary Green Table of the Great South on the theme "The Great South takes its destiny in hand".

This meeting allowed to review the post-Matthew damage, provide guidance for Reconstruction and especially to help humanitarian agencies to take decisions that do not hinder the reconstruction and which enable a smooth transition from emergency to sustainable development.

11 ONI offices damaged

The National Identification Office (ONI) reports that 11 of its offices were damaged by the hurricane in four departments.
