Haiti - Diaspora NOTICE : MHAVE instructions for in-kind donations

Jessy C. Petit-Frère, Minister a.i. of Haitians Living Abroad (MHAVE) informs the Haitian communities abroad, that in the framework of humanitarian aid following the passage of the Matthew hurricane in Haiti, in-kind donations from the diaspora should be routed to the nearest collection point of donors, namely Haitian consulates, which will take care of shipping them to the country.
The Ministry is committed with the authorities concerned to follow up for customs formalities and ensure that the Civil Protection Department (DPC) in Haiti, receive donations and provide receipts in accordance with law and in the interests of transparency.
