The National Airport Authority (AAN) informs us that Sunday, October 23, a passenger identified as Lucia Eliassaint (77) was found dead, for an unspecified reason, aboard the flight #2175 of the American Airlines, from New York (USA).

On landing at the Toussaint Louverture International Airport (AITL), around 11:30 am, following a call from a responsible for the airline, paramedic section of the Fire Protection and Rescue Corps of the AAN went in the aircraft andnoted the death of the passenger.

According to established procedures, the presence of a Justice of Peace was required to carry out the usual formalities before handing over the remains to her family.

"The National Airports Authority presents its sympathies to the relatives and friends of the deceased."
