Haiti - Religion : Closing of Jubilee of Mercy 2016

Sunday at the Stade Sylvio Cator, the de facto President Jocelerme Privert, attended the Eucharistic ceremony of closing of Jubilee of Mercy 2016, organized at the initiative of the Episcopal Conference of Haiti https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-16170-haiti-religion-pastoral-message-of-the-episcopal-conference-of-haiti.html

The religious event was attended by many other political figures including among others Cholzer Chancy, President of the Chamber of Deputies, of Léopold Berlanger Jr., President of the Provisional Electoral Council (CEP), as well as parliamentarians, members of the CEP, the government and the private office of the Head of State.

Cardinal Chibly Langlois, along with the high dignitaries of the Catholic Church in Haiti, served as the main celebrant at this great mass. In his homily for the occasion, the prelate, while welcoming the presence of Jocelerme Privert, preached unity and mercy among the Catholic faithful and all Haitians in general.
