The Directorate General of the National Police of Haiti (PNH) informs everyone that to ensure the smooth running of the polling day, several restrictive measures will be taken on Saturday 19 November 2016 from 6.00 pm until Monday 21 November 2016 at midnight throughout the country, including :

1 - Suspension of all firearms licenses and prohibitions from traveling with sharp, blunt or other weapons by destination. In the case of private security companies, they will have to take over on site to avoid any movement of weapons on the public highway;

2 - Prohibition for motorists and motorcyclists to approach to nearly 100 meters of Voting centers, BED and BEC ;

3 - Prohibition on the sale and consumption of alcoholic beverages;

4 - Prohibition on nightclubs to operate.

Any offender caught in flagrante delicto will be apprehended and brought to justice for legal consequences. The Directorate General of the National Police of Haiti rely on the collaboration of all for the full respect of these provisions.
