Haiti - Elections : «Your vote is your power» dixit Sandra Honoré #HaitiElections

This Sunday, November 20, election day, presidential, second round of the partial legislative elections, election of the cartel of the commune of Côte de Fer and the first round of elections for a third of the Senate, Sandra Honoré, the Special Representative of the Secretary General Of the United Nations has delivered a message to all voters and particularly to the women and youth of Haiti.

Extract from the message of Sandra Honoré :

"Haitians, Haitians,

[...]

The United Nations encourages all candidates, women, men and all political parties to commit to keep a climate of calm, because it is this climate that is the basis of stability that citizens of country need to build their future. It is this climate that will lay the foundations of democracy.

I invite all Haitians, both women and men, to participate en masse in the elections of this November 20th. Especially the women and the young people who are going to vote, I invite them to go and exercise the right that the Constitution gives them to vote freely.

I encourage all citizens, women and men, in the affected areas to go to vote.

Today more than ever, the time to rebuild and develop the country has arrived, but it all depends greatly on the choices you will make.

Your vote is your power as a citizen, every vote counts, make your voice heard, vote."
