Haiti - France : Juvenile justice training

In order to ensure the good synergy between numerous actors in complementary disciplines working in the field of child protection, the French Embassy at the request of the Institute of Social Welfare and Research (IBESR), organizes from 21 to 25 November, in interdisciplinary training in juvenile justice led by the French Directorate of Judicial Protection of Youth of Ministry of Justice to the Haitian School of Magistracy.

The training provided by Mrs Evelyne Joseph and Fabrice Audebrand aims to improve the skills of specialist educators and social workers of the IBESR, but also agents of the Minors' Protection Brigade, of agents s of the Office for the Protection of Citizens (OPC), judges for children as well as judges delegated to the question of minors in the various jurisdictions of the country.

The training also aims to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the protection of the rights of child victims, living or not in institutions, but also minors in conflict with the law. In particular, it proposed to address the various methodological aspects linked to the implementation of an educational action through the techniques of family maintenance and mediation necessary for the construction of viable reintegration projects for a child.
