The Communication Office of the Presidency informs the general public that the de facto President of the Republic, Jocelerme Privert, accompanied by the First Lady, Mrs. Ginette M. Privert, will leave the country, this Friday, December 2, 2016, in the direction of Santiago, Cuba, to attend the official funeral of President Fidel Castro Ruz to be held on Sunday, 4 December.

President Privert, deeply touched by the death of the "Cuban Revolutionary Commander", will testify on this sad occasion, in the name of the Haitian people, all his sympathies to the Castro family, the Cuban government and the people of Cuba.

He will return to Port-au-Prince on Monday, December 5, 2016.
