Haiti - Security : Two police officers shot dead
Monday, Camille Edouard Jr., Minister of Justice and Public Security deplored the deaths of two agents of the National Police of Haiti which occurred during the last 48 hours.

On Saturday, Agent IV Frantz Valéry Dallemand was shot dead in Petion ville while returning from a commercial bank.

Sunday Inspector Uria Louis, in charge of the Police Station of Petite Rivière de l’Artibonite was killed while he wanted to intervene to restore order in a confrontation between political activist of two parties, following the publication of the results. Inspector Garry Desrosiers, deputy spokesman for the PNH, announced that an investigation had been launched to shed light on the crime and identify the culprit(s) to hand them to justice.

"Minister Edouard expresses his deepest condolences, sympathies and full support to the families of the victims, their families and their PNH colleagues," recalling that in these troubled times the Government will not allow any entity to create a situation likely to bring the country back into instability and anarchy.
