Formal denial of CEP

In a statement, the Provisional Electoral Council (CEP) formally denies the rumors [including from some lawyers from opposition political parties], who want to suggest that there were two contradictory reports concerning the preliminary results of the November 20 presidential election "The CEP wishes to insist on respect for the law and the indisputable truth of the facts as the only compass to guide the behavior of all the actors involved in the electoral process [...]" declared Léopold Berlanger, President of the Electoral Council.

Funeral of François Séverin

Fight against violent statements in Haiti

Senator Jean Renel Sénatus spoke with Camille Edouard Jr., the Minister of Justice and Michel-Ange Gédéon, the Director General of the Haitian National Police (PNH). After the meeting, Sénatus declared, "We have agreed to defeat any violent declaration made in the country. Haiti today needs peace."
