In partnership with the French construction company Razel, the Haitian firm V&F (Vorbe et Fils) has been working tirelessly since 2015 to conclude the major project of setting to international standards the main runway and the lane of the International Airport Toussaint Louverture

This is expected to be completed as planned in the first quarter of 2017. As a result, the main runway (10-28) for landing and take-off of wide-body aircraft, which had a width of 42.75 meters, now displays a width of 60 meters, thanks to two added shoulders of 8,625 meters over 3.06 km in length.

Regarding the traffic lane initially 23 meters wide, which channels traffic to the terminal, it will soon be 44m fixed thanks to the addition of two shoulders of 10.5 meters that are nearing completion. The rehabilitation also covers the 300-meter-long access ramps.

The component of the project, which has a certain delay, concerns electricity. But the team of electricians is hard at work and it is working hard to ensure that everything is over in the coming months. RAZEL and V&F are formal, provisional acceptance of the project will be made in the first quarter of 2017.
