Early on Monday morning, on the national road # 1, in the locality of Terre Noire (commune of Saint-Marc), a terrible accident occurred involving 3 vehicles, causing 5 deaths and about 30 wounded (provisional record).

The accident occurred when a pickup truck attempted to overtake a bus, struck the bus and collided head-on with a pickup that was coming in the opposite direction, according to legal findings.

Most of the wounded were taken to the Saint-Nicolas Hospital, three of them had to be taken to Port-au-Prince and several were transferred to other hospitals, notably in the Plateau Central given the seriousness of their condition, according to the National Ambulance Center.

5 people have died of the consequences of this accident, including two in the hospital informed the hospital Saint-Nicolas.

The balance could increase, given the severity of the injuries of some victims who are in critical condition.
