Haiti - Security : Haitians police officers trained in New Delhi
As of this month, 4 executives of the police of Bureau of Scientific and Technical Police (BPST), including 3 inspectors Alexis Guetchine, Destined Aurélice, Eric Jarbath and an agent IV Jeanty Pierre Edmond will attend a 3 month training in New Delhi, India on "fingerprints and cybercrime" through scholarships offered by the Government of India.

Divisional Commissioner Pierre René François believes that this training is very important for the forensic science and will help strengthen the BPST whose mission is to find evidence for justice, which is often lacking during the trials...

However, to obtain effective results, the Haitian penal code will have to be reformed to include new forms of crime such as cybercrime currently absent from the penal code...
