Haiti - FLASH : Senator Guy Philippe extradited to the USA 06/01/2017 06:57:25

No Haitian authority has made an official statement on this arrest and on the extradition of Guy Philippe. Camille Junior Edouard, the Minister of Justice remains until now silent as the Presidency and the American Embassy. The Senators should launch a convocation against the Minister of Justice in the coming hours for more explanations. For the moment, the exact charges against Guy Philippe are unknown. At the announcement of the arrest of Guy Philippe, in the departments of the South and Grand'Anse, protesters went down the streets to demand his release. We have reports that flaming tire barricades were erected on roads in these two departments, also police stations also have been victims of attacks of unidentified individuals without more details or exact balance on the very tense situation.
