Haiti - Politic : Important meeting around the second round of elections
Friday, de facto President Jocelerme Privert, accompanied by Prime Minister Enex Jean-Charles, in the presence of several personalities including Privert's private Chief of Staff Jean Max Bellerive and the Secretary General of the Presidency Antony Barbier chaired a meeting in the perspective of the second round of legislative elections complementary and elections for local and regional authorities, scheduled for 29 January.

On the agenda of this meeting, the state of preparations in the framework of the second round of elections. Have attended this meeting :

Sandra Honoré Head of the United Nations Stabilization Mission in Haiti and other civilian, police and military officials of Minustah and UNOPS representatives.

Léopold Berlanger Junior, Carlos Hercule and Uder Antoine, respectively President, Vice-President and Executive Director of the Provisional Electoral Council (CEP).

The Ministers Camille Édouard Jr (Justice and Public Security), Aviol Fleurant (Planning) and Dieuseul Simon Desras (Interior and Local Authorities a.i.)

From the outset, Privert thanked the actors for their support in the success of the first phase of the electoral process and hoped that the conduct of the second round of vote is a success like the previous step.

Prime Minister Jean-Charles also wished that every effort should be made to ensure that the electoral process succeeded in the best conditions and insisted as Head of the Superior Council of the National Police (CSPN) on the need to strengthen the security system during the electoral period.
