Lesly Condé, the Consul General of Haiti in Chicago, reminds the Haitian community that January 12, 2017 brings back the seventh anniversary of the devastating earthquake of January 2010.

"The earthquake of 12 January 2010 is a pivotal moment in our national life. It is present in all our plans for the future and our reconstruction efforts.

The Consular Mission will benefit from the following activities to be held in January 2017 to make a one-time tribute to the memory of the victims of this historic tragedy [...]"

Reception of Remembrance organized by the "Association of Haitian-American Lawyers of Illinois" supported by the Consulate General.

Evening of Remembrance organized by the organization "Partners in Health" supported by the Consulate General.

The Consul Condé relies on the spirit of solidarity of the members of the community to participate in large numbers in these events.
