Haiti - Elections : Mirlande Manigat advocates an out of the crisis Haitian

Mirlande Manigat, presidential candidate, came in first (31.37% of votes) in the preliminary results of the first round, was opposed to any solution "developed by the foreigner" to solve the post-election crisis, noting that the crisis does not come from outside "It is a Haitian crisis, and it is the Haitian people who have to find a solution" she said.

"The Organization of American States (OAS) seems to be the main organizer of the solutions of the crisis ... How much time will it need to complete its work, what are the terms of reference of this mission, what she will recount?" questioned the candidate, who said she was worried about predictable delays of the electoral process. Fears more justified, as President Rene Preval, has publicly expressed Thursday his intention to remain in power beyond February 7, if by that date, his successor was not elected, in order to maintain "political stability"...

In addition, the head of the Haitian state, is firmly opposed the establishment of a provisional government and makes reference to a controversial law passed in May 2010, which authorizes him to remain at the head of the country, if the situation requires until May 14, 2011.
