Haiti - Politics : Inauguration of 182 social housing units in Ouanaminthe

Friday in Ouanaminthe, the Social and Economic Assistance Fund (FAES), in the presence of Jean René Antoine Nicolas, Minister of Social Affairs and Labor, Lucien Francœur, Director General of FAES, Pierre Léger, Representative of Food for The Poor, engineer Esson Dorisca, Director General of the Unit for Housing and Public Buildings Construction (UCLBP), of Mayor of Ouanaminthe, Demetrius Luma, other guests and area residents, inaugurated 182 social housing units.

182 families will benefit from these housing constructed by "Food for the Poor", in compliance with the seismic standards specified ing. Esson Dorisca.

Each house has an area of 108 m2 and includes two bedrooms, a hygienic toilet, and a kitchen. The cost of construction of each housing unit is US$13,449.

In his speech Lucien Francœur recalled the commitment of his team to work to improve the living conditions of the population and assured that the FAES will continue with other inaugurations of public infrastructures for the benefit of the Haitian people.
