Under the Food and Nutrition Security Thematic Program (FSTP 2013) of the European Union (EU), the Office of the National Authorizing Officer in Haiti and the EU launched in collaboration with the Ministry of Agriculture and Ministry of Public Health, 6 major projects to combat hunger and malnutrition.

These projects, totaling €6,8 million, will be deployed in the communes of Bombardopolis, Baie de Henne, Môle St-Nicolas, Jean Rabel (North-West), Gros-Morne, Ennery (Upper Artibonite), Cerca-la-source, Thomassique, Belladere, Savanette (Central Plateau), Capotille, Ouanaminthe, Ferrier and Fort-Liberté (Northeast).

These projects, which will affect thousands of beneficiary families, aim to reduce food insecurity, combat malnutrition and strengthen the resilience of Haitian populations face the climatic hazards.
