Haiti - DR : Two Haitians Arrested for Drug Traffic at the Border 19/02/2017 11:38:10
The Haitians were arrested by the authorities in the goods verification area, in the presence of a deputy prosecutor after the discovery of the drugs in their luggage. It is the suspect behavior of the woman who alerted the anti-narcotics agents posted at the border, specifies a note of the authorities. The DNCD in collaboration with the security and intelligence agencies stationed in Dajabon have extended their investigations to possibly apprehend other people involved in this traffic. The seized drug packages were sent to the National Institute of Forensic Sciences (INACIF) for appropriate action. In addition, DNCD officials inform that they have arrested at the border control point of Dajabón an alien who are trying to enter the Dominican territory with two packs of marijuana weighing approximately a pound and a half.
