Haiti - Petit-Goâve : Senator Dumont advocates for modernized agriculture

Following his election as one of the Senators of West https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-20046-haiti-flash-final-results-2nd-round-elections-1-3-senate.html Patrice Dumont ("Gathering of the Haitian Patriots" - RPH) on a visit to Petit-Goâve, thanked the population of Petit-Goâve on Radio Préférence "[...] I came to say thank you. I received a lot because I had asked for a responsibility >and the Petit-Goâviens gave it to me, by hoosing me as one of the senators of the West. It is an honor it made me. It is a distinction and I am conscious of the importance of this honor [...]" reminding that "Every person in the West Department has the right to address to me and present his problems [...]"

Then the Senator addressed the theme of a modernized agriculture for the second plains affirming ""[...] The second plain of Petit-Goâve is for me, a requirement. We need to modernize agriculture here. I will discuss this with the Deputy Germain Fils Alexandre, the Minister of Agriculture, the Prime Minister and the President of the Republic.

I will let them know that the second plain is a granary and that the practice of irrigation is indispensable. It will suffice to pump water in our two ponds to make it available for cultivation," said Patrice Dumont.
