The name of the PM before the Carnival

According to Guichard Doré, Special Advisor to Jovenel Moïse, the President of the Republic will announce the name of his Prime Minister before the National Carnival (26, 27 and 28 February).

Moïse case : decision know this week

Monday, Port-au-Prince Government Commissioner Jean Danton Léger confirmed that after receiving the supplementary report of the investigating judge Bredy Fabien on Friday he was going toproduce his final decision (réquisitoire) in the file of Jovenel Moïse, within 5 working days, stating that his decision will be in accordance with the law.

Recall that President Moïse is suspected of money laundering, following a report of UCREF that after analyzing the bank accounts registered to Jovenel Moïse concluded "It is possible that Mr. Jovenel Moïse has handled the funds that have nothing to do with his enterprises," what Jovenel Moïse as always denied, describing the whole affair as a political attack.

Activities pre-carnival, at least 36 victims

Inspector Garry Desrosiers, deputy spokesman for the National Police of Haiti (PNH), said the pre-carnival activities of the last weekend had left at least 1 dead in Port-au-Prince and 35 wounded in Gonaïves. However, he says that measures have been taken to guarantee the safety of festival-goers in the city of Les Cayes and in Port-au-Prince during the 3 fat days.

$45 million provisioned for Haiti

Dr William Warren Smith, President Caribbean Development Bank (CDB) announced that the contributors have agreed on a global program of $ 355 million for the period 2017-2020 and lowered the interest rate of the Special Fund for Development (SDF) from 2 to 2.5% to 1%. The approved program includes a provision of $ 45 million for Haiti.
