Decree appointing citizen Raquel Pélissier, Goodwill Ambassador of culture and tourism affairs of Haiti;

Inauguration of 3 vaccine depots

This week, Brazil's Ambassador to Haiti, Fernando Vidal, in the framework of the Brazil-Cuba-Haiti tripartite cooperation in the health sector, inaugurated the depots of vaccines and medical inputs of Fort-Liberté , Port-de-Paix and Jeremie. This project, estimated at US $ 70 million, is the result of the tripartite cooperation initiated in 2010 and the largest South-South cooperation project of Brazil in the world. Present at the event included representatives of the Ministries of Health of Brazil and Haiti.

International Festival PapJazz

Thursday, French Ambassador to Haiti Elisabeth Beton Delègue participated in the launch of the 11th edition of the International Festival of Jazz in Port-au-Prince (PapJazz), which will be held this year from 4 to 11 March. Change on the compulsory reserves of banks

The Bank of the Republic of Haiti (BRH) informs in a Circular to Banks dated February 20, 2017, and signed by Jean Baden Dupois, Governor of the BRH, "As of March 1, 2017, the constitution mode of required reserves on liabilities denominated in foreign currencies as defined by Circular No. 86-5 of 13 May 1997 is as follows: 5% in national currency; 95% in foreign currencies."
