The Civil Protection Directorate informs us that on Sunday, 26 February, police and civil protection volunteers intervened in emergency at the scene of two traffic accidents that occurred in the commune of Aquin (South).

The first accident occurred after 2h30 p.m. to morne Aquin, which involved a tractor-trailer and a pickup tap-tap made 4 wounded, including two women, who were transported to the hospital of Aquin and that of Immaculate Conception of Les Cayes. Measures are being taken to evacuate one of the women, victim of a fracture of the basin, from Aquin to Les Cayes.

The civil protection volunteers intervened again in a second accident, still in Aquin at Carrefour 44 at 5:50 p.m., caused by a motorcycle driver who was in excess speed. The driver and two other people were injured in the accident and taken to the Aquin Hospital.
