Arrest of two dangerous individuals
Police in the North Department arrested Geffard Armstrong and Sevelma Alizé, two suspected bandits, wanted for murder and criminal association.

Danilo Medina in solidarity with Haiti
Following the death of former President René Préval, in a letter addressed to his Haitian counterpart Jovenel Moïse via the Chacellerie, Dominican President Danilo Medina Sanchez, solidarizes with the people and the Haitian government. "We are united with the people and the Haitian Government, on behalf of the people and the government of the Dominican Republic and in my own name" asking to extend his condolences to the family and to the relatives of René Préval.

A Haitian 2nd Prize in the international poetry competition
Carl Withsler A. Benoît, a young Haitian native of Gonaïves, won the second prize of the 18th edition of the "International Contest of Poetry in French". About 100 young people aged 15 to 25 from Canada, France and Switzerland competed in the competition, and Carl is the only Haitian to have reached the final stage of the competition.

Distribution of 6,000 l of milk to the prisoners
The Canadian Embassy in Haiti, in collaboration with the Canadian company MERA, has distributed 6,000 liters of Soya milk to prisoners in the national penitentiary. This action comes as a result of the increasing number of deaths in the country's prisons .
