Haiti - Environment : National Botanic Garden, signature of partnership agreements 09/03/2017 08:51:42
These agreements between the Botanic Gardens will cover the following areas: - Experience sharing ; - Technical assistance and reception of teams; - Joint resource mobilization; - Inputs of equipment, equipment, seeds, software, etc...; - Sharing of plants and seeds; - Joint education, information and public awareness activities. The Presidents of the Botanical Gardens concerned will sign these agreements at the end of an International Workshop for the training of executives for the JBNH. This activity follows the start of the development work of the National Botanical Garden launched at the beginning of the week at Source Zabeth, Ganthier https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-20298-haiti-environment-a-70-hectare-botanical-garden.html The implementation of this major structure of public education, conservation of biodiversity and promotion of sustainable development is the result of a partnership between the Ministries of Education, Environment, Agriculture and the Faculty of Agronomy and Veterinary Medicine, the State University of Haiti, the Haitian National Commission for Cooperation with UNESCO, the Ganthier City Council and the Board of Directors of the 2nd Section Communale Balan, commune of Ganthier.
