Haiti - NOTICE : Vandalism and theft to the National Presses of Haiti
Monday, Ronald Saint Jean, the Director General of the National Presses of Haiti notice that "Following the acts of vandalism perpetrated by a group of employees such as boycotting the computer system and the disappearance of thousands of contravention books ordered by the Directorate General of Taxes (DGI), the Directorate General of Haiti's National Press is in the obligation to inform the public in general and its staff in particular that provisional measures are being taken to protect and safeguard sensitive files that it manages for the Republic from its databases.

Pending the completion of the prosecution and administrative and judicial inquiries relating to these cases, and the normal resumption of work, the Genberal Directorate is asking all its employees to stay at home.

In addition, all administrative provisions are taken to ensure the regular publication of the Official Gazette of the Republic 'Le Moniteur' and the safeguarding of the interests of the Institution."
