Haiti - NOTICE : Hackathon, registration open
As part of the celebration of the International Day of Young Girls (27 April 2017) in the Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) sector, which will be organized around the theme « Jèn fi kenbe teknoloji pou louvri chimen », the National Telecommunications Council (CONATEL) is organizing a hackathon for university girls on the entire national territory in order to raise awareness on the science and technology professions.

This hackathon will compete teams of university girls with the goal of creating in a little more than 48 hours a web application, running on any computer terminal (laptops, smartphones, tablets...) which proposes a solution to a recurring problem in one of the 3 themes chosen by the organizers:

Themes :
- Maternal health
- Family planning
- Gender and Youth

Conditions of participation :
- Young girl, 18-26;
- Be a student in one of the universities or professional school of Haiti;
- Establish a team of 4 members and designate a member responsible for relations with the Company Organizer;
- Copy of an identity document;

Applications must be submitted to CONATEL. Deadline Tuesday, April 18, 2017 at 1h00 p.m.

The Competition will begin at Canado-Haitian College. It will start on Friday 21 April 2017 at 2:00 pm and end on Sunday 23 April at 10:00 p.m.
