Haiti - Les Cayes : End of the strike, on a backdrop of dissatisfaction 09/01/2011 10:08:21
Pierre Henry Demery, president of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the South, said he was disappointed and dissatisfied with the outcome of the discussions held during those 48 hours with the authorities. The business community has met Paul Denis, the Minister of Justice and Public Safety which has recognized that the increasing of insecurity was due to the weakness of the state, promising that his ministry would support the business sector in its search for security. For Pierre Henry Déméry, it is just a political statement without any serious commitment on the resources to implement to ensure the safety of merchants and citizens.
