Haiti - NOTICE : Shipowners, sailors, captains and boat owners
Dieudonné Bruno, Director General of the Maritime and Navigation Service of Haiti (SEMANAH) reminds the general public and shipowners, sailors, captains and boat owners in particular, that they are invited to appear to the SEMANAH office of their respective areas in order to be in good standing with the Institution.
The renewal of licenses, certificates, ships, expired maritime professional booklets and the registration of ships and jets skies, as well as the registration of seafarers are concerned.
These legal formalities must be completed before May 15, 2017.
After this period, vessels which are not in good standing, will be prohibited from sailing in Haitian waters and boarded by the Coast Guard in accordance with the law.
