Foreign ministers Antonio Rodrigue (Haiti) and Miguel Vargas (Dominican Republic) will meet this Thursday (April 27th) at the Dominican Chancellery in Santo Domingo to discuss key issues such as immigration, trade and Bilateral cooperation between the two Governments. This is the first official bilateral meeting between the two Chancellors after their meeting last month on the sidelines of the Caribbean Forum (CARIFORUM) in Kingston, Jamaica.

The two Chancelleries stress the importance of this meeting for the consolidation and expansion of relations between the two countries, which could generate initiatives that would benefit the development of the border by increasing the chances of attracting investment, infrastructure development and the formalization of trade, with significant job creation and improvement of the quality of life of people living in the area on both sides of the border.
