Haiti - Social : The body of 15 shipwrecked repatriated to Haiti

Wednesday, at the request of the Haitian government, the bodies of 15 of our compatriots, drowned on 24 January at the northwestern tip of the island of Providenciales (Turks and Caicos Islands), during a shipwreck where 54 Haitians were missing and only one survivor https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-19941-haiti-social-the-toll-of-the-sinking-in-the-turks-and-caicos-increases.html , were repatriated to Cap-Haitien. The funeral of the victims of the shipwrecks was celebrated that same day by Father Raynald Benjamin who in his homily urged the authorities to work for the wwell-being of the population and to prevent desperate citizens from risking their lives by attempting crossings in uncertain and dangerous conditions.
