Josué Josue Alusma, the mayor of the town of Port-de-Paix, has been in Florida for a few days as part of a tour aimed to sensitize the Haitian diaspora originating from his commune, to the major problems that constitute a handicap to the development of the city.

During his interventions, he stressed the involvement of his compatriots in the development process of Port-de-Paix, by bringing their experiences and expertise in key sectors such as sanitation and urbanization.

In addition, this Tuesday, May 16, Mayor Alusma will be in New York to attend a meeting with a group of American businessmen, about the potential of the Northwest department and particularly Port-de-Paix because of its key geographic location.
