Corrective Budget : Emergency benefit

Thursday the Minister of Economy and Finance, Jude Alix Patrick Salomon officially tabled the bill of amending finance to the Senate of the Republic, at the time of the deposit he pleaded for the benefit of the emergency, because the adoption of this law will enable the administration to redress the current situation in the country.

Beginning of the Hurricane Season

Efforts have been made to strengthen the Communal Committees of Civil Protection and of brigadiers, as well as to review and increase the capacities of the Communication System of the Directorate of Civil Protection (DPC) through the joint technical project BRH/MICT, VIASAT, setting up an effective satellite communication network, linking the command structures to all communes, in order to better organize the response in this hurricane season.

France : Donation of 50 computers

The Information Systems Department of the Quai d'Orsay donated 50 computers to the Alliances françaises of Les Cayes, Jacmel and Jérémie. Carried free of charge by Air Caraïbes, these computers were officially handed over by the Ambassador in the presence of the deputy head of the information systems of the Embassy who was completing a mission in the South.

Tour of Minister of Culture in the North

Limond Toussaint, the Minister of Culture, was on a tour of the North, where he visited, among others, the premises of the Departmental Department of the Ministry and also met with a number of officials from the Office of the National Heritage Preservation Institute (ISPAN) of the department.

Martine Moïse and the National Children's Day

Thursday, First Lady Martine Moïse, accompanied by ministers: Pierre Josué Agénor Cadet (Education) and Pierre Simon Georges (Environment) took part in a ceremony organized as a prelude to the official celebration of the National Day of the Child. This activity, which took place in the presence of the National Coordinator of the PNCS, Mrs. Phanèse R. Laguerre, was an opportunity for students of the National Schools of Canada, Fortuna Guéry and of Tabarre, to offer artistic performances in the honor of the various guests.

Visit to the Therapy Center HHH

A team from the Office of the Secretary of State for the Integration of People with Disabilities (BSEIPH) recently visited the Healing Hands for Haiti (HHH) Therapy Center in Bourdon. During the visit, the team met with administrative and medical staff. Recall that since 1999, HHH is dedicated to the rehabilitation and care of people with physical disabilities in the country. Among other things, the Center has a laboratory for the manufacture of orthotics and prostheses with modern equipment, of physiotherapy and physical therapy rooms. Note that HHH also facilitates the acquisition of materials adapted to its patients.
