Fednel Monchery, the Director General of the Ministry of the Interior and Territorial Communities, accompanied in particular by Ruthlande Anglade Director of Territorial Communities and Dr Ely Thelot Fils, a member of the Cabinet of Minister Saint- Albin, recently paid a field visit to Liancourt (1st communal section of Liancourt, in the commune of Verettes) and Montrouis, to evaluate these territorial structures and reassure the population of the support of the Ministry of the Interior to the structuring and standardization of these two communes.

During the trip, the delegation met with organized groups, notables and "citizens' councils" at the level of these two communes, constituted by the Decree of July 2015 https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-14858-haiti-politic-5-new-communes-in-haiti.html but whose structures are not in place until now.

This approach was also intended to communicate a clear and precise instructions to correct certain anomalies reported by local people regarding the charging of fees, not within the competence of the "citizens councils," which was installed in December 2016 to lay the foundations for the operation of these two new communes.
