Haiti - FLASH : Renewal of passport, important !

The Directorate of Immigration and Emigration (DIE) of the Ministry of the Interior recalls that, according to the procedure and the standards in force, its computer system keeps in memory the codes of all the passports already allocated and will not be able to issue a new passport for any applicant who is unable to present the passport booklet assigned to him/her. In such cases, the system taking into account the integrated safety parameters, will classify the new application as inadmissible.
In addition, the DIE informs the public in general and the persons concerned in particular that about 10,000 passports ready, have still not been withdrawn from its delivery services, some of them for so long, have even expired https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-20819-haiti-news-zapping.html
Consequently, the DIE invites the applicants concerned to withdraw these passports as soon as possible. Citizens may also call the number 105 for any follow-up and information concerning their files.
