The kidnappers execute their 12-year-old hostage

On Thursday, the lifeless body of Georges Dany Lafleur, aged 12, kidnapped last Tuesday in Pont-Sondé, was found in an irrigation canal. He had a concrete block attached to his belt and a bullet hole at the forehead. The victim's father claims that the kidnappers claimed $50,000 in exchange for his son's release.

NOTICE Passports (Guadeloupe)

The Consulate of the Republic of Haiti in Pointe-à-Pitre informs the Haitian community in Guadeloupe that applications for passports produced until the 30th of June 2017 are available at the Consulate. Compatriots are asked to bring their receipt and old passport to collect their new travel document.

Identification of public transport vehicles

The Central Directorate of Traffic Police (DCPR) and the Public Transport Modernization of National Commission launched a campaign to identify transit vehicles.
