Haiti - Security : Mayor Chevry deal with the threats on Port-au-Prince
Friday, the Mayor of Port-au-Prince, Ralph Youri Chevry, presided over an important workshop during which he mobilized his Civil Protection structures face the threats that his commune is facing.

Many representatives of the Community Intervention Teams (EIC), of the local Civil Protection Committees of Port-au-Prince and several city delegates took part in this workshop, which enabled them to identify and better understand in all their complexities the threats, causes and consequences of possible disasters in the most of the risk areas of the commune.

Some elements of the solution were put forward during this workshop, which proved fruitful for the participants who welcomed the Mayor Chevry who spares no effort in framing them in their actions.

"The work you are doing is important and I will work to ensure that you have the necessary equipment to carry out your mission," said Mayor Youri Chevry, who remains convinced that disaster prevention, is made above all, by education and awareness-raising.
