5,500 Dominican soldiers watch the border
According to the latest available figures the security of the borders on the Dominican side is ensured by 5,500 soldiers of the Specialized Body of Terrestrial Border Security (CESFRONT). 1,000 soldiers operate in the four official border crossings (Dajabón, Elías Piña, Jimaní and Pedernales). The remaining 4,500 are deployed in more than 100 checkpoints, randomly controlled patrols and surveillance on the rest of the border line.

Court of Cassation, 17 candidates rejected
Senator Jean Renel Sénatus, President of the Justice, Security and National Defense Commission, announces the rejection of 17 of the 32 candidates for the vacancies at the Court of Cassation. He announced the hearing of the 15 candidates on Wednesday, 2 August, and Thursday the presentation of the Commission's report to the Senate.

NOTICE to taxi-moto drivers

Port-de-Paix : NOTICE to Trucks

A child found dead in the Massacre River
