Haiti - Security : Death of a young Haitian on the Ouanaminthe-Dajabon border bridge
On Monday, the lifeless body of a young Haitian of about 22 years was found in the area between the two gates of the border bridge that separates Ouanaminthe from Dajabon. According to the first police observations, the young man could have made a fatal fall of a taxi-motorcycle.

Dominican officials from the Central Criminal Investigations Department (DICRIM), a forensic pathologist, members of the Office of the Prosecutor and officers of the Haitian National Police have initiated an investigation into the cause of the young Haitian's death. Although the first elements seem to suggest that the cause of the victim's death may be the consequences of a fatal fall of a motorcycle taxi, all tracks remain open. The PNH has taken charge of the repatriation of the victim's body in Haiti.

Some accuse a Dominican soldier of having killed the young Haitian with a stick, others evoke a collision of a Haitian taxi-motorcycle with the victim...
