Moïse relaunches « Ti Manman Cheri » program

The President of the Republic Jovenel Moïse participated in a meeting organized by FAES with heads of schools of the department in the context of the revival of the program "Ti Manman Cheri" (initiated under the Government Martelly) to financially support the disadvantaged mothers across the country by encouraging them to place and keep their children in school by granting monetary assistance on a quarterly basis. Other meetings of this kind will be held in other departments in the coming days.

Good news for victims of a cataract

The Adventist Hospital of Haiti carries out its first international mission of cataract surgery. An American team with their Haitian colleagues will carry out operations from 4 to 7 September 2017. Pre-selection consultations by Dr. Greger Figaro and Dr. Reynold Delijacques will take place from 22-25 August 2017 at 2:00 pm to the hospital. The pre-operative evaluation will cost 250 Gourdes. Operation and post-operative care will cost 1,750 Gourdes.

Towards a strike of magistrates

Lawyers from the Port-au-Prince Bar Association are expressing their concerns about the strike that the magistrates are planning to observe in protest against the meager 1% assigned to the Supreme Council of the Judiciary (CSPJ) in the draft law already voted by the deputies and demand the increase of this budget. The members of the Bar are urging the authorities of the Executive and the Senators to satisfy the demands of the representatives of the Judiciary.
